Through the Collonades
A downloadable game
Through the Collonades is the first game I finished. It is a little ASCII arcade game and I wrote it while on my daily commute during winter 2012.
The basic rules are simple. The enemies will try to catch you. Each enemy has a number: when you shoot the enemy you get that many score points and that many power points. Shooting costs you one power point. if an enemy catches you it will wipe out some of your power points -- ten times its number. When you run out of power, it's game over. The game also has some other more unusual mechanics that are best discovered by playing.
The game has no sound. It was originally going to be a death-metal inspired roguelike, at which point the title would have made a lot more sense...
